Thanks to Lenine putujuce nosiljke i marame (Lena’s traveling carriers and wraps), we had an opportunity to test Chardan slings Celestial sky in size 6, which is my base size. My wrapee is an almost 2 yo, she weights 12kg and we tried this wrap in fwcc, reinforced fwcc with a shoulder flip, double hammock and ruck. I love wraps with geometric design, cause they tend to have nice grip and feel comfortable on shoulders, but this wrap brought a whole another dimension when it comes to how it felt on shoulders! I didn’t feel my lo’s 12 kilos at all!!! It’s really mouldable, with a nice grip to glide ratio, does have quite amount of diagonal stretch, which requires better tightening, but it doesn’t make a sloppy wrap job uncomfortable! I would say this is one wrap that can take you from the beginning to the end of your bw journey, suitable for all levels of experience. I’m really thankful I had a chance to try this wrap and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a nice, easy care wrap! P.S. I almost forgot to mention that my 4-year-old daughter was actually the first one who got wrapped and this was literally the only wrap in which her 16kilos weren’t too much for me!

I was the second tester of this soft cloud. The baby has almost 10 months and about 9.5 kg.  Wrap is easy to handle, not slip and firmly held. It tolerates even a bit clumsy tying and fast wrapping because the baby is very lively and impatient. I did not feel the baby’s weight, and we worn into a piece about 2 hours and over 2 km walk. The colors are beautiful and live and in pictures, beautiful contrast for bindings with flip. Wrap is ideal for beginners, older and harder children. At the first impression wrap acts like a blanket, but I did not feel that I was overly hot when we were worn.

So, here’s my tester review…
Thanks to Lenine putujuce nosiljke i marame (Lena’s travelling carriers and wraps) we had a chance to try the Chardan Slings wrap Celestial Sky in size 6. Small model has 10mts and about 9.5kg (I guess :D). Given that the baby was terribly nervous for a number of reasons during that period and he played a baby seat kicker, unfortunately we did not quite have tried a lot of binding methods… 😦 although the sling is 280g by declaration, it has very tight weave and it seems quite thin and easy to wrap. It has a lot of diagonal elasticity, which, with restless wrapping, turned out to be a minus for us in fcc, but in fwcc it suited much better. When you tight it enough there is quite enough grip and no layers will slide. In balance with it it do slides good and allows to tight it fine. I had a little problem with the tightening the knot, which loosened, so I had to re-tight everything. I suppose it is due to fact it is still a bit new. Although it is quite broken, I think the knot will be better when it softens a bit more. The wrap is beautiful in color and design, and it’s great that it is two-sided because it is like you have two wraps to wear and combine. Also I have to stress a fact that it is surely an easy caring wrap. I was delighted to see it is dryer friendly since weather was not ideal for drying… All in all I think it is a great wrap for beginners, and despite thickness I think it would also be ok for smaller babies….

Thanks to the Lenine putujuce nosiljke i marame (Lena’s traveling carriers and wraps) I had the opportunity to try Chardan Celestial Sky, size 6. This is my base + 1, so I played a bit with some fancy finishes. My son was 8 months old, and he had 9+ kg during the testing period. Colors of the wrap are more vivid than in photos, I preferred turquoise side. The weave is very interesting and design as well, due to which this wrap has a fine amount of grip. However this wrap is not too grippy, it is easy to tighten in multi layer carries and interesting fact is that it doesn’t slip even when you tye a half knot. It came washed and ironed from previous tester so it felt heavier in hands than declared gsm. I love the wrap geekery, so I’ve measured it and I had a good feeling. The wrap was around 320 gsm postwash. Even though it was washed it didn’t need any additional breaking in. It has higher amount of diagonal elasticity, but it doesn’t sag. The thing that I loved the most about this wrap was how mouldable is it. Chest pass in DH looked amazing. I prefer a little bit narrower wraps, so I had a feeling sometimes that I have too much wrap on my shoulders. I tried it in a lot of carries but I really loved it in ruck carry.
