Wrap name: Orion Solly wrap
Type: Elastic/Stretchy wrap
Since I was the one to receive this Solly baby elastic wrap first and unbox it, I’d like to start this review by talking about the box. 🙂

The package itself looks neat, simple and pleasing to the eye.
The contents of the box consist of an instruction booklet and a wrap, folded neatly.
The model in question is Orion Solly wrap (graphite gray with blue undertones).
Let’s first take a look at some basic info about the wrap:
⁃ It’s suitable for babies 3.5-11kg (bear in mind that elastic wraps are suitable for newborns, but if your baby is a preemie, please consult your bw consultant before wrapping your little one).
⁃ What I found interesting and nice is that Solly Wraps are made from the pulp of sustainably forested Austrian beechwood trees that are grown without pesticides. The result is an unbelievably touchable TENCEL™ Modal fabric. So, no guilt about putting this fabric next to your baby’s soft skin.
⁃ It can be washed in a machine, on a Wash cold gentle cycle.
⁃ Solly wraps are made and sewn in Los Angeles, California, so apart from from high quality, this wrap also carries a bit of ocean breeze in itself as well.
⁃ When it comes to wrap length, I can freely say this is one of the longest elastic wraps I’ve ever tried and it will suit any body type just fine.
⁃ A middle marker is present in a shape of a Solly baby label, which makes wrapping a lot easier.

So, what’s the fabric like?
Imagine something fluffy and delicate, but strong. That’s it. This wrap is just that – as soft as a baby’s skin, yet very supportive. Another nice quality is its breathability. If put against the sunlight, it’s see-through.

The wrap could easily be packed in a tiny bag and I dare say this would easily be a year-rounder, suitable for babies born in any of the 4 seasons.
Below is the photo of a knot it makes, just to give you a better idea of how compact and light Orion Solly is.

One other convenience this wrap offers is a pocket to store that little something you can’t be left without.

It’s stretchy enough and provides good support for babies. Taking it’s ‘density’ into consideration, I’d be careful and keep it away from jewelry such as rings with stones and similar.
I want to go back for a moment and touch on the fabric again. It’s really nice to know that you are buying and using a ‘clean’ product.
What I found peculiar is this wrap’s colour. I knew what to expect-a gray wrap. But once I unpacked it, I thought it was dark green. The next day I took it out in the sun, it did look gray at certain points, then bluish at other moments.

All in all, I enjoyed testing this beautiful wrap and think it represents yet another great choice to start a babywearing journey with. I am looking forward to reading my fellow-babywearers’ impressions and thoughts on Orion Solly wrap. Thank you Lennie putujuce nosiljke for this opportunity.
*For reference – a demo doll in the photos is a size of a newborn, weighing 3.5 kg.
