To start with, Aerloom was the only carrier we didn’t have for a long time in our library, and I was finally able to try it first hand. Also, this was the one I was most curious about.

This is a game changer for producing carriers, and it was an interesting introduction to a completely new concept.
Let us start with the first impressive thing. Aerloom is made with a new approach and FormaKnit production. That means that this carrier is made from one piece material, and that makes it unique in the buckle carrier world. This means less stitching. I think it finds inspiration behind Meh dai carriers and apron style wearing, and that makes it even more unique to Ergobaby we know.

Second, the one I find really impressive and support fully is lighter carbon footprint. Aerloom is produced with 87% on recycled material. Aerloom is produced with post-consumer, recycled polyester yarns (certified by Global Recycled Standard). It’s made in small quantities to avoid excess inventory, and each carrier arrives in a recyclable shipper box; no extra packaging is necessary. This means that Ergobaby is starting a revolution also in the babywearing world, which is always nice to see. Inner lining of a carrier is 100% cotton OEKO-TEX certified fabric, and on the panel, we also have mesh. Material is breathable, so it is good for all weather conditions, and we put it to extreme testing as we had “lovely” around 40c this days.
Regarding how easy to understand waist belt positioning, I think we in a past had most questions about it and even myself needed a minute to figure it out. It is mostly because of the expectation of regular wear, and when you connect, that is the same as meh dai, and the shortening panel uses the same principles, then it becomes natural. So with this carrier is back to basics and In a way I fell in love with it. It is different, applying logic over many adjustments and using the potential of manipulating fabric itself rather than adding more buckles or buttons.
The only adjustments on the panel itself are those small ones to narrow the carrier in width, which can be useful when you want to start wearing a baby from the first day’s.
The panel in height is adjusted as meh dai with simply pulling it through a stretched loop to make it shorter.
Aerloom is marketed as from newborn (3.2kg), and I would also agree that because of the apron style approach and the possibility of narrowing it, it can be suitable for a newborn. Then it also goes that it is up to 3 years or (15.9kg), and this is highly optimistic as based on testing, we will lose support of knee to knee much earlier so more realistilicly it will be a carrier for a first year of wearing. But overall, I find it a good first option to start wearing a baby.
Everyone knows that I am not a huge fan of forward face wearing, and this carrier also supports it, but it will provide you with the support you need for it and it is possible to put baby in expected position – just keep in mind that all requirements we recommend are met.
Regarding positioning baby because again of apron style, it forces you to position baby in natural position and not allow you many mistakes there. So, for those who struggle with pelvic tilt, this would probably be the great benefit, also for us as consultants a great relief.
Buckles are also positioned on the right spot, closing the gap so the baby can be secure and comfortable in a carrier.
It comes with really loved Ergobaby lumbar support to make it easier on your back. Chest strap is also on sliders so you can adjust it easier on the right position based on your body type. Compared to some other, mostly old Ergobaby models, this carrier will also fit pettit person and most body types.

The Aerloom baby carrier also has light padding around the baby’s leg openings to help with weight distribution and prevent red markings and lightly padded head support, which is nice and flexible.

The shoulder straps are contoured to fit nicely and offer good weight distribution over your back and shoulders without the need to cross the straps in the back. They are not padded as other models, but this will not influence the comfort of weight distribution. The Aerloom’s shoulder straps are not able to cross, so It is not something you will able to do with this carrier, which I personally don’t mind as I prefer H rather than X. But I know some parents struggle with the idea of buckling chest strap on their own, so maybe those should check other options.

It is a lightweight carrier thanks to design and material and easy to transport and carry with you on the go. It weighs 660 grams, considering other similar Ergobaby models are more than 800 grams.
Considering that Ergobaby carriers are mostly recognised by their robust and firm construction carriers, I find refreshing going out of comfort zone and experimenting and revolutionsing new market with sustainable wear and new type of carriers.
To conclude, Aerloom is a step forward in a babywearing world, bringing another important angle covered in a way we produce, even thou second hand babywearing market is pretty alive, I personally think this is something we aim for – to reduce waste and use sustainable recycling materials. Considering how this market grows fast and new ways of recycling are introduced daily, I am looking forward to see what they will use next in some future generations of carriers. Aerloom, I would recommend as a first carrier. Models are also nice to eye in bright and refreshing colours inspired by reefs. I think this model is not promoted much as deserved and definitely deserves more attention from all of us.

I have to say I’m impressed! This soft structed carrier is first I would easily recommend for summer. It’s perfect for smaller babies (I’d say birth to 5-6m). I like firm belt and nicely, but not too much, padder shoulder straps. I like the color and how it feels in hand. It also comes with lumbar support that can be very important for some people. Carriers usually don’t suit me best because of my hight, but I liked this one very much. It is very comfortable and easy to adjust. I like that material is very nice and soft, easily moldable for newborns, and I like that it has adjustable panel height and width. Since my kiddo is too big for this carrier I only tested it with my 50cm and 3kg doll and it was great.
Thank you Lenine putujuce nosiljke (Lena’s traveling carriers) and Ergobaby for an opportunity to test this carrier.

My boy is too big for this carrier and I only tested it with my demo doll. Ergobaby Aerloom is new born ready carrier, it is a splendid choice with innovative fabric, lightweit only o,6kg and easy to store in bag. Material is lightweight and not too sweaty, I love that it is made of recycled material because we all should take care of recycling and the environment. I would recomend it for daily use, for moms and dads (dads like it beacause mono colors). Big advantage over other Ergobaby models- there’s no buttons, no velcro, and this carrier have minimal clips for ajustment. Thanks Lenine putujuce nosiljke (Lena’s traveling carriers) and Ergo Baby for this great opportunity to try this fantastic carrier.

This carrier is very comfortable and soft. Material is lightweight and perfect for summer. Very easy to adjust and put the baby correctly. Sadly my baby is too big for this carrier. She is now 10kg and 74cm,so we did not use it very much, but I could see she is very comfortable in it.I would recomend it to everyone with smaller babies. Thanks Lenine putujuce nosiljke (Lena’s traveling carriers) and Ergo Baby for this great opportunity to try this fantastic carrier.

Another wonderful carrier from Ergobaby. Soft, easy to adjust and my baby enjoyed it, and I had great support for the lumbar part of my back. The baby is 3 months old and weighs about 6 kg and was just perfect for us…

It was a pleasant surprise to try the new Ergobaby Airloom carrier. I must admit I am not a huge fan of Ergobaby since I find their design a little bit impractical and bulky, but found this carrier to be very soft, comfortable and breathable. It is easy to adjust and position, the belt has a berfect balance of firmness and comfort, the straps are nice too. The only issue I had was with the panel size adjustment, since my baby was cca 60cm long, 1.5 months old and around 5kg at the time of testing, so the newborn adjustment was fine in height but missed a bit of width to have a nice knee to knee support, yet the regular adjustment was too large.
We managed to breastfeed in the carrier too, and this color is so nice😊
Thanks najnaj.eu and Lena’s traveling carriers for the opportunity!

Thsnks to Lenine putujuce nosiljke (Lena’s traveling carriers) I had the opportunity to try this Ergobaby carrier. I was not a fan of Ergobaby Adapt for my small baby, however this one is super soft, easily adjustable and my baby enjoyed it. I love the support for the lumbar part of my back, and how quickly you can put it on. My baby is 3 months old and weighs about 4kg, I absolutely recommend for small babies 😊

I would like to thank Lena’s traveling carriers for giving me an oportunity to try out this wonderful carrier. At the time of the testing my little one is 6 months old and weights around 10kgs, wich would be maybe considered to big for this carrier, but it handled the weight of my baby perfectly. The lumbar suport is so good, and the way the straps are shaped. The material of the carrier is really special, and inovative. I am amazed how light, airy and breathable it is. I would absolutely recommend this for smaller babies.
